If you’re feeling lethargic and unduly tired, notices more increase in breathing and heart rate, you’re probably suffering from stress. This is caused by cortisol, a hormone released in the bloodstream, which imitates physical exertion. Stress could also cause insomnia because it distorts the ability of the body to manage its sleep-wake instincts.

2.) Easily Gets Sick

Stress can hinder the regular function of the body’s immune system once it released cortisol in the bloodstream. It suppresses the release of DHEA hormone which is required to support the immune function.

3.) Tooth Grinding

Headaches, jaw ache and permanent tooth damage are major oral health problems that are caused by teeth grinding. Tooth grinding is stress-induced and is associated with the heightened activity in the subconscious when asleep. You are not alert when you are asleep so the body uses the mouth as a physical outlet for heightened stress.

It is a fact that we tend to eat short-term food fixes when we are stressed. Stress can influence a person’s eating habits.
