Dancing To My Heart’s Content

It’s such a freedom moment when you are an introvert. Sometimes thinking if not overly concerned with what others are thinking of you. But a couple of weeks ago, I had an opportunity to attend a conference with a colleague, and I am so glad I went!

At this conference, it was a lot of information being taught, but there were dance breaks! I had the opportunity to dance to some oldie but goodie songs we used to rock back in the day. And I have to tell you the place was lit. Indeed it was! I even had the opportunity to meet Kim Coles of Living Single and In Living Color!

But the thing that I took away from it was that even though there were hundreds of people there, and I may have received weird looks or stares, I didn’t care! I was able to let loose, have fun, and just think about how good the music was and have a great time.

You may say, “so, what’s the big deal about that?” For me, it was an opportunity to do something I enjoyed, which I always have; dancing! And to not think about what others thought about me? It was very freeing. As an introvert, and someone who grew up pretty much sheltered, I have always had the thoughts about what others thought. But I’m coming to a place in my life where I really cannot be concerned about what anyone thinks about me.

Being An Entrepreneur Is My Own Personal Validation

As an entrepreneur who has had the blessing of obtaining success in this journey of owning a beauty business, it has not been uncommon to care about what others thought, or what they said. And I guess that comes with the territory. But my desire for being successful was stronger than what anyone thought about my strives for it.

So I say to you today, dance as if no one’s watching. Work as if there is a goal to be reached. Strive for success as if your life depended on it. Because honestly, you really have to in order to really see the results you desire.

Wishing you a Successful Beauty-filled Journey,
