How long have you been doing what you do, and how did you become “The Minister Of Beauty?”

To answer this question, it’s probably best that I share with you a defining moment, and a resulting “compelling story”, that brought me to where I am today – coaching people like you on exactly what to do to remove fear from thier lives, remove their pain, and have power over their past. I have officially been The Minister of Beauty since 2015 – It came to me while I was sitting at a conference and realized that the work I did as an esthetician was more than skin deep. My work in helping women transform their image and in turn self confidence began in 2007.

I was a successful legal assistant for 12 years. The last law firm that I ever worked in was a small firm and it was a toxic environment that felt increasingly unprofessional. I felt isolated in my discomfort because the whole company was a “boys club”. By the time I got to Sunday I was filled with dread an anxiety, because I knew I had to go to work on Monday morning, and the time was flying.

My body was ailing from the stress which was was gradually damaging me. But it wasn’t noticed until some years later. I’ll explain that in a short while. I left the legal field for good in 2007 (by force, as I was FIRED!, but I knew I could never go back). I became a Licensed Massage Therapist while I was working in the legal field at the last job, but was still in fear and not launching out officially until I was fired. Sometimes, firing is good for us, it heats up what is cold and gets us warmed up to the possibilities we may have had cold feet about stepping into the unknown. I continued my education in to eyelash extensions certifications, and esthetics, and made my business as a soloprepreneur offering all I learned. When I made the decision to go full on in my career, and launching my business into the deep, disaster struck.

After, launching my new business and moving into a new salon, doing what I love in 2011, after a few months of working and establishing myself in this new location, one day I woke up with no feeling from my neck down. I went and saw a handful of medical professionals with no real answers. Eventually a doctor said that he felt this was a manifestations of stress. I rooted down into my faith and prayed. I also began going to acupuncture. and gradually regained feeling in my body. I know I was healed, but it would take some time for me to be made whole again.

During this time, I wasn’t able to work for a few months. A lot of the clients I took so much time building up were lost and never returned. But a few faithful loyalists remained and waited for me to return. Because of my faith, and the few loyalists that waited for me, my fighting spirit didn’t allow me to quit. I continued to move forward and start over.

This experience taught me that we must think about ourselves before we can help others, and that is NOT selfish. If we are not healed, if we are not whole, we are in pieces, so how can we help others? It wasn’t until this year that i realized this was leftover stress that unhealed.

It’s really important that we seek what we should be doing so that we aren’t killing ourselves. Going through this experience and then realizing the way it manifested in my body even after leaving my job was illuminating.

After the healing of my body, and really going hard to rebuild and renew myself in my business, new opportunities expanded for me. I got my own building, and about three months or so after that I had hired my first employee. Years later, this same person experienced a very deep personal tragedy, (I’m sorry I can’t share it, as it is not my story to tell, but she did lose someone in her family very near and dear to her at the same time she suffered an attack). I found myself in a role that was uplifting, motivating her and inspiring her to take her power back and heal her heart and not to lose faith.

Since that time I have had women reach out to me about wanting me to mentor or work with them. It became clear to me that I needed to take action. This is a calling. . . .

I gathered up the lessons from my past and started teaching women how they can do the same: help women live a life of passion and purpose so they can have power over their past!! I have since made a commitment to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping other women feel freedom and self-love in their every day lives while doing what they love.

Since then, I’ve worked with many private clients, spoken in front of countless groups: I’ve been obedient to the call of helping women create their most beautiful life experiences ; and I have created BETTER . . . STRONGER . . . FASTER (TM), an 8 week Intensive Mastermind to give you the strategies to garner the success you are looking for in your life and business
